I’m done with my thesis! Yaaaay! There will be more time to write here now, I guess? Yay again!
Cherry blossoms are popular during spring season in Korea. But aside from it, there are a lot of blooming flowers to look forward to, such as chyrsanthemum flowers in autumn. From end of October up to the first week of November, there is a Ten Million Chrysanthemum Flower Festival in Iksan, North Jeolla Province.
Ten million flowers… unbelievable, right? But, wait until you see this!

Iksan is also home to many historical sites. I was able to visit the Baekje Historic Areas which is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. These areas “represent the Baekje Kingdom, one of the three earliest kingdoms in Korean peninsula (18 BCE to 660 BCE)”.
This day tour in Iksan was short but definitely worth the 7-hours roundtrip. I would definitely go back again if I have the chance! 🙂
